Kiss the ring (trophy)!

Ohio State fans have the chance to get up close and personal with the team’s brand new national championship hardware. Spectators will be able to bask in the 24-karat gold-plated trophy at various locations in the 614 until Friday.

The Buckeyes secured their ninth national title Monday with a 34-23 win over Notre Dame in the first-ever 12-team College Football Playoff final at Mercedes-Benz Stadium in Atlanta.

Trophy Tour Schedule:

Thursday, January 1811 a.m. to 2 p.m.: Meijer at 100 Polaris Parkway, Westerville

Thursday, January 184 p.m. to 7 p.m.: Giant Eagle at 840 W. 3rd Avenue, Grandview

Friday, January 1910 a.m. to 1 p.m.: Kroger at 12116 Sycamore Trace, Plain City

The 50-pound trophy was presented to the team on Monday after their victory and will also take center stage during the official championship celebration Sunday.
