Introducing Pastor Yaves Ellis

Pastor Yaves Ellis has been preaching since his teens and has led New Birth Christian Ministries since 2020. A Columbus, OH native, he spent his early years ministering through Christian rap, gaining national acclaim with several Billboard and iTunes charting projects.

He has worked extensively in prison ministry, touring facilities nationwide and developing a model focused on the underserved and disenfranchised. Pastor Ellis also spent over 15 years as an executive in the radio industry and hosted the number one radio show in central Ohio for more than six years. He earned his Masters in Pastoral Care and Counseling from Ohio Christian University.

An effective communicator of God’s Word, Pastor Ellis teaches the Gospel with practical application. He believes followers of Christ should impact all community facets, evident in his advisory roles with local universities and city government on equitable policies. Recently, he co-founded More Life Trauma Care, providing over $200,000 in free mental health counseling to young people since 2022.
