Columbus Police are expecting that over half a million people will be in the city to participate in this year’s Red, White & BOOM. With so many people in a small setting can lead to huge safety concerns for families and the police.
Police are giving families tips on how to make this event fun and safe for the whole family.
- Keep a close eye on your children at all times
- Take a picture of what your kids are wearing
- Have a plan in case children go missing
- Leave pets at home
CPD will also have five booths that parents and children can go to in need of help and assist with relocation. They ask all parents to visit one to register your kids in case you need help finding them.
