Well, no need to worry as Columbus Police has created a solution to bridge the gap within the deaf and law enforcement community. According to Fox28columbus.com, Columbus Police are releasing cards to distribute to the deaf and hard-of-hearing drivers in Central Ohio.

The creation of the deaf card was in conjunction with Deaf World Against Violence Everywhere. As shown above, the card allows the deaf to explain to the officers the best way to communicate and/or request for assistance.

Police said the card was developed as a joint effort with Deaf World Against Violence Everywhere (DWAVE).

Should you or someone you know be in need of the card, email DWAVE at info@dwaveohio.org.
