Former Ohio State pass rusher Nick Bosa was selected No. 2 overall in the NFL Draft by the San Francisco 49ers Thursday.

Bosa, who is considered the top pass rusher in this group, joins his older brother, Joey, in the NFL. Joey currently plays for the Chargers and was the 2016 Defensive Rookie of the Year. Their father also played in the NFL.

Bosa is the highest Ohio State draft pick since offensive tackle Orlando Pace went No. 1 to St. Louis in 1997. He missed all but three games last season with a core muscle injury but already had exhibited the kind of playmaking that lifts players to loft status. Such as the second pick in the draft.

Quarterback Dwayne Haskins we selected No, 15 overall by the Washington Washington Football Team.

Haskins, who started for one season for the Buckeyes, completed 370 passes on 530 attempts for 4,843 yards and 50 touchdowns, was the second highest rated QB behind No. 1 overall pick Kyler Murray on many mock draft boards.

Washington emerged as a strong frontrunner for Haskins’s services on Wednesday as rumors swirled about the Washington Football Team trading up from their No. 15 pick in order to draft a quarterback. A native of Potomac, Md., Haskins is from the DMV area. Washington traded for veteran Case Keenum this offseason but was searching for a quarterback of the future after both starter Alex Smith and the team’s backup, Colt McCoy, suffered serious injuries last season.

Five times during the 2018 season, Haskins threw for more than 400 yards in a game and threw for over 300 yards in nine games.
