The 2018-2019 school year is quickly winding down. As the end of the year nears, it is not too late to start finding summer camp options for your kids! From arts and crafts to soccer and swimming, there is plenty to do during the summer in the city.

Columbus Recreation and Parks
The City of Columbus has a wide variety of summer camps geared to youth of all ages and interests. Grants are also available for financially challenged families with children 18 years and younger who want to participate in any fee-based program.

City of Powell
From tennis and golf camps to Tumble Tots and learning how to wave on a skateboard, Powell has something for kids of all ages.
“We offer summer camps for kid 7 to 14 years old for most weeks and then we have a couple of exceptions for our safety weeks for our junior camp and that’s kids from 4 to 8 years old so they can come in and get the experience of being away for a full day”, said Gina Kolp, the Director of Parks and Recreation for the city of Powell.

City of Westerville
Westerville Parks and Recreation offers safe, fun-filled and affordable camp experiences to all families in the community. Due to construction at the rec center, 2019 camp programs will be held at Cherrington Elementary.

Flying Horse Farms
Flying Horse Farms is a magical place where kids with serious illnesses can just be kids.
The camp opened its doors in 2010 and has since welcomed campers in more than 100 camp sessions. Children at the camp are living with a range of illnesses including cancer, heart conditions, rheumatoid arthritis, blood disorders, asthma, gastrointestinal disorders and facial anomalies.

Columbus and Franklin County Metro Parks
The Metro Parks system manages more than 27,700 acres of woodlands, wetlands, prairies and streams. There are opportunities for campers of all ages to explore the outdoors and learn more about the world around them.

Columbus College of Art and Design
CCAD offers one or two-week hands-on courses for students in grades 1-12. Topics include creating with color, painting, digital media, animation, photography, fashion design, makeup and film making.

Boy Scouts of America
The Simon Kenton Council of Boy Scouts of America have five different camps in locations around central Ohio. Opportunities are available for children starting in first grade.

Ohio 4-H Youth Development
Ohio’s 4-H program offers several camping opportunities around the state. Topics include leadership, science, shooting sports and agriculture.

Columbus Crew
Columbus Crew SC offers several summer sports camps designed for kids of all ages and skill levels. Each camp is specifically customized to challenge players in the four pillars of the game: technical, tactical, physical and psychological.

Buckeye Sports Camps
The Ohio State University offers summer camps covering 21 varsity sports. Campers and clinic attendees have the opportunity to learn more about their sport from Ohio State coaches and improve their skills.
