CLEVELAND, OH (WOIO) – The Ohio State Highway Patrol alleges that a large amount of cocaine found in the trunk of a ride hailing vehicle belonged to a passenger at Cleveland Hopkins International Airport.
According to a criminal complaint filed with the U.S. District Court, Diontae Hill did knowingly possess 11 pounds of cocaine with intent to distribute the controlled substances.
The court documents state that an Ohio State Highway Patrol trooper pulled over a Mercedes sedan that was seen committing a traffic violation while leaving the airport on March 26.
The trooper’s K-9 detected the presence of drugs in the vehicle, which prompted a probable cause search.
Investigators found approximately 11 pounds of cocaine in kilogram-sized packaging in the trunk, according to court documents.
