Thirty-five year old, Brooke Sousa, a native of Westerville, earned her title as one of the strongest women in the world. She has previously competed at 2 Arnold Sports Festivals. This year will mark her third appearance at the infamous show of strength!

Sousa began her journey in 2012 working out to achieve a healthier lifestyle for herself and her daughters. In 2014, she discovered her passion for heavy weight lifting! With a little encouragement from friends, she entered a charitable strength competition and took first place! The year 2016 marked Brooke’s first time competing at the Arnold Sports Fest!

She won the title of World’s Strongest Woman in a 2018 competition in Norway. Winning this title qualified Sousa for this years Arnold Classic!

Sousa trains year round to stay fit and strong! She also has inspired her daughters, Zoe and Sophia, to compete different in StrongKids events.

The Arnold Sports Festival has grown tremendously since its start in 1989. This years events began Thursday, February 28th and will continue thru March 3rd.

Sousa will compete in the Arnold Pro Strongwoman competition. She will be put to the test in several different events such as a 220 lb. stone to shoulder challenge and a 540 lb. frame carry!

“I look forward to Arnold Columbus because it just captures how far I’ve come each year. This year, I’m pretty excited about seeing where I’m going to place,” says Sousa.

If you get the opportunity to check out the Arnold Classic this weekend, Brooke Sousa will compete Friday March 1st and 2nd.
