Super Bowl Sunday is in full effect and has officially taken over the ATL. This year, it’s the New England Patriots vs Los Angeles Rams. Now, I am not really a huge fan of the NFL, I prefer college, but I am always rooting for Cali teams. I am going with the Rams, but we know Tom Brady and the Patriots definitely know how to win! Many Saints fans feel they were robbed during their game against the Rams and believe they should be in the Super Bowl this year. As far for the Patriots, lots of people are just over them, myself included. Don’t get be wrong, Tom Brady is a great player, but I was done with him after the whole Deflategate scandal. I am just not a fan of cheating under any circumstances.
I will be watching just to see the Auntie Gladys Knight sing the National Anthem. She has received lots of flack about singing in the midst of the Colin Kaepernick protest against the anthem. Honestly, I feel like Kap’s way of standing up for what he believes isn’t the only way to protest, furthermore, just because you choose to stand for or sing the anthem doesn’t mean you’re not in support of justice. Gladys Knight was active during the Civil Rights era and has truly opened many doors that we walk through today. People were dragging her on Instagram and saying she should be canceled. Now, we are not about to cancel Gladys Knight, she is a legend and has always been a positive light in the industry.
