Oh Boy! Pickerington city officials say Police Chief Michael Taylor is retiring amid an investigation into reported racist comments that he allegedly made.

Taylor will be using personal time until February 19th, and will not be returning to the job. According to MyFox28Columbus.com, city officials said they’d received two anonymous letters claiming Taylor made racist, sexist, and homophobic remarks. A special counsel was brought in to investigate the claims, but due to Taylor’s retirement, the investigation will not continue.

City Manager Frank Wiseman will act as interim administrator of the police department until they hire a new police chief.
