This is such a nice gesture, especially for all these dogs who need love! According to Fox 28, The Franklin County Dog Shelter is celebrating a big holiday win, with every adoptable dog home with a family for the holidays.

It is thanks to their holiday foster program, where families get to take a dog with them for a few days as a sort of sleepover.

It gives a dog a nice home over the holidays, often getting them adopted.

It also gets the shelter more information about each dog, helping them find forever homes.

The program started on Thanksgiving, and the Christmas holiday is the second round.

ABC 6/FOX 28’s cameras were there as the final dog went home with a family for the holidays.

“We have four dogs at home now, this will be number five, clearly we love dogs!” said Katie Mazierski, who fostered the final dog, “But, our hearts are never too small for another one.”

The shelter team said there was a line of people looking to foster. There were so many people that they ran out of dogs.

“There are no words,” said Dickson, “when we got here this morning, there was a line out the door of people, that wanted to participate and foster one of our adoptable dogs.”

People can participate again very soon over the New Year’s holiday.
