Well, it looks like Michelle Williams and Chad Johnson aren’t heading down the aisle after all. On Friday (December 7th) Michelle Williams took to her Instagram to promote her new song, Fearless and shortly after, dropped an unexpected bomb. Williams wrote, “I still remain fearless,” the 38-year-old wrote. “I guess I still remain single! Things didn’t work out. The healing that needs to take place is a must! I don’t wanna destroy another relationship. Blessings to him, his family and ministry. #FEARLESS.”
I was watching her new show with Chad on OWN and to be honest, I saw this coming. It appears some things kept come up in their counseling sessions that both parties need to deal with and work through, which may have negatively impacted their ability to stay together. I was really rooting for them, but sometimes we want to married more than we are ready for marriage. I also think that reality shows tend to shed light on unfavorable areas that are magnified in the public eye. Their relationship was so new and she was coming off of her highly publicized battle with depression. I just think it was bad timing to do a show and work through their issues in front of the camera. I do wish them well and I wonder how the rest of the show will play out.
