This is a headline that has become all too familiar in our city…according to 10TV, one person is dead and three others were hurt after a shooting on the east side of Columbus.
The incident occurred at the Quick Stop on the 2000 block of East 5th Avenue, near North Cassaday Avenue.
Police tell 10TV an altercation began outside of the Quick Stop just after 11:00 a.m. The scuffle then moved inside the convenience store, where shots were fired.
Two of the wounded men were transported to area hospitals, while a third drove himself. None of the Quick Stop employees were injured.
Police did not immediately provide the names of the victims.
Investigators are treating the incident as a homicide investigation and say it appears robbery was not a motive in the crime.
Meantime, an autopsy on the deceased is scheduled for Thursday.
