- Terry Dade – Asst. Superintendent at Fairfax County Public Schools in Northern Virginia
- Doctor Talisa Dixon -Superintendent at University Heights City School District
- Scott Lyle Inskeep – Superintendent at Kettering City Schools
- Ava Tasker-Mitchell – Asst. Superintendent at Prince George’s County Public School System
- Doctor John Stanford
- Doctor John Strickland – Asst. Superintendent for Secondary Education at Kansas Public Schools.
Doctor Stanford is currently the interim superintendent and the only Columbus City Schools employee. The school board plans to release more information on the candidates on Sept. 5th
