According to Fox 28, former Ohio State wide receivers coach Zach Smith will meet with Ohio State’s investigators next week.
At Big Ten Media Day, Ohio State head coach Urban Meyer said the day after firing Smith that he had no knowledge about the accusations against Smith.
A week later, Meyer retracted that statement.
Meyer was placed on paid administrative leave on Wednesday, August 1, 2018.
Ohio State’s investigative team is being led by Mary Jo White, a former chair of the U.S. Securities and Exchange Commission.
On Sunday, August 5, 2018, Ohio State issued a statement and said they expected the investigation to be finished within two weeks.
Ohio State Football opens the season on September 1, when they host Oregon State.
