According to NBC 4, one person has died and two others were injured following a shooting near Cleveland Avenue and Belcher Drive Sunday evening.
Columbus police and medics responded to reports of a shooting near 2387 Belcher Drive at about 7:50pm Sunday. Police said there was an altercation in a parking lot in that area earlier in the evening.
Medics found victims at both the Belcher Drive address and near 4151 Cleveland Ave.
Two victims were taken to Riverside Methodist Hospital in critical condition, according to police. One of those victims, a 25-year-old woman, was pronounced dead just after 9pm. The second male victim remains in critical condition.
A third victim was taken to OSU in stable condition and subsequently released.
Police say the incident started as a fight that escalated into an exchange of gunfire.
Cleveland Avenue and Belcher Drive were closed as during the investigation.
The names of the victims have not been released pending notification of family.
Two unknown shooters were last seen fleeing the scene.
