Upper Arlington has had a homicide. It’s the city’s first since 2010, according to police. Two men reportedly got into a confrontation at the China Dynasty on West Lane Avenue. Police found 31-year-old Columbus man in a mulch bed between the building and some bushes, unresponsive and bleeding. He passed away in the hospital.

Jeffery Lamar Smith was identified as the suspect. Witnesses said he argued with the victim before he was allegedly seen on top of him in the bushes.

If anyone has seen Smith or knows where he might be, you’re asked to call Upper Arlington Police at 614-583-5160.
