On Friday June 8th, 2018, The Ohio State University approved for off-duty officers from certain law enforcement agencies to have concealed guns while on campus.
OSU is allowing this in order for those off-duty officers can serve as first responders if there is an emergency situation. Off-duty officers will be able to carry concealed guns into any building on campus.
The approved agencies include the university’s police force, the Columbus Police Department, Franklin County Sheriff’s Office and the State Highway Patrol.
