Many showed their gratitude to their ancestors at their final resting place.

Cemeteries were filled with love ones saying thank you for the service their family member gave to this country.

Ken Clark and Keith Johnson were at Union Cemetary Monday where they decorated 14 gravesites.

“This is something that my grandmother started,” said Ken Clark, Johnson’s uncle.

Fun fact: Union Cemetery is 212 years old. Many veterans have been laid to rest as far back as the Revolutionary War.
