Is Ohio moving one step closer to gun control?
Columbus City Council passes their version of “common sense” gun law Monday which will ban bump stocks and bridge the gap between federal and state laws.
“We’ve already been in touch with our attorneys and we believe there may be numerous actionable violations of state law,” said Chuck LaRosa with Ohioans for Concealed Carry.
President Shannon Hardin counteracted the negative stressing this law is about keeping our communities safe and keeping guns out of the wrong hands.
“This package was about keeping our community safe. It’s about doing what we can do as a city to make sure that we are abating gun violence in Columbus.”
The new laws would protect victims of domestic violence, which can take away firearms from those involved in a domestic violence situation.
