According to Fox 28, a Franklin County Sheriff’s Deputy was critically injured and rushed to Grant Medical Center when he was shot after a chase in southwest Columbus. The suspect was killed when officers opened fire., according to authorities
The shooting came after a short chase in the area of Harrisburg Pike and Hopkins Avenue. Witnesses say authorities were chasing a large black truck. Video captured at the scene shows a black truck crashed near a gas station, with patrol vehicles surrounding it.
As the investigation continued, the Sheriff’s Office tweeted asking for thoughts and prayers for one of their own.
