Jewel Tankard, the matriarch of the family, recently visited her hometown of Detroit where she sat down and gave rolling out an exclusive interview. She updated us on her life on “Thicker Than Water” season 3, her other show “The Jewel Tankard Show,” and her entrepreneurial ventures with Karat Bars and her new jewelry line.
The Tankards have become a household name and you all are coming back for season 3 of “Thicker Than Water.” Tell us what we’re in store for this season.
Yes! The Tankards are coming back, and no one will disappointed. It’s a lot going on. I think that we were very transparent, as we have been, but I think that we actually peeled back some layers. I actually highlighted Detroit and definitely put Detroit on the map. We kind of went back to see where I came from and that I haven’t always been saved, and so I kind of went into some of the juicy parts of my past.
In terms of drama, me and Cyrene had some drama. She’s at Howard, and she’s a sophomore. Her modeling game has gone way through the roof and she’s done New York Fashion Week and Miami Fashion Week. She’s trying to stay focused because she definitely got her party on freshman year. We had to tell her to bring it on back!
