From Snapchat to Instagram to Twitter to Facebook, the options for a social media site are limitless. It’s very easy for one of your social media pages to not get the same attention if it is not connected to the other ones. According to EMarketer,”The number of U.S. Facebook users in the 12- to 17-year-old demographic declined by 9.9 percent in 2017″.Overall, eMarketer found Facebook lost about 2.8 million U.S. users under 25 last year.

Why isn’t Facebook “Cool” anymore?

Most users in the age range of 12 to 17-year-old are too busy reading and taking long walks on the beach. Sike! This decline has a lot of components to it but the reason is the other options to communicate with friends quicker without storage of pictures or videos. This decline is a threat to Facebook as the children help determine the future, so if young users are losing their interest that results in a decline for internet users.

We just hope for the best Facebook and that you live forever!
