Byron Cage chatted with Erica Campbell & GRIFF for Legends Week on “Get Up!” He has won several Stellar Awards, Dove Awards, and others. He bonds with GRIFF over their church, and talks about how it feels to step back and look at his expansive career in music, TV and films. Byron also discusses complexities of doing live recordings over the years since the 90s, and adjusting to the technological changes that have affected the engineering and production of live recordings.

Byron talks about the most amazing moment in his career, which was working with Michael Jackson, and the magic of being the first gospel artist to record live in the New York’s historic Apollo Theater. He also talks about the challenges of touring, and gives some advice to young worshippers about God’s word and social media.
