Washington, DC has a Professional football team that we call “THE HOME TEAM.”

Even though they are considered “Washington’s Team” – they play their home games in the Stadium with the most seats in the NFL, but the stadium is in Maryland!

They relocated to Maryland some years ago after building their new FedEx Stadium in Landover.

The Governor of Virginia has always said that he wants them to move to Virginia.  He will be out of office in a short period of time and cannot run back to back terms, so the next Governor will probably oversee their recruiting of the Home Team to Virginia whoever that might be.

If the next Governor is successful in getting the Home Team to Virginia, they would have completed the cycle in terms of “THE DMV” – playing in D.C.; Maryland & Virginia.

They played in D.C. for years and years and then started playing in Maryland; but their offices and practice field are in Virginia!!

This debate will go on for years to come.
