Alissa Henry is a feature reporter for Good Day Columbus on ABC 6 and FOX 28, the CW Star on CW Columbus and a lifestyle correspondent on Fox 28’s Good Day Marketplace. Born and raised right here in Columbus, Alissa feels privileged to be working in her hometown at her favorite TV station.
She graduated Magna Cum Laude from the E.W. Scripps School of Journalism at Ohio University with a degree in Broadcast Journalism and a certificate in Political Communication. Prior to joining Sinclair Broadcast Group, she was the Managing Editor for a daily online magazine which provides commentary and insight on issues that are at the heart of Black America.. Afterward, she was the social media manager and photographer for Mayor Michael B. Coleman’s (successful) re-election campaign. When that campaign ended, she was a freelance writer for multiple outlets and her topics included personal finance, celebrity news and current events.
Alissa enjoys community outreach and highlighting the best people places and events Central Ohio has to offer. When she’s not working, you can find her enjoying inexpensive activities around Columbus with her husband Joe… and tweeting about it. Follow her on social media @AlissaHenryTV
