South African politician and chairperson of the AU commission Nkosazana Dlamini-Zuma gave the biggest irony to President Donald Trump’s Muslim ban.

Addressing representatives of the continental union’s 54 member states during a summit in Addis Ababa, Ethiopia on Monday, she put America in her place when it comes to having the audacity to ban refugees from prominent Muslim countries.

“The very country to which many of our people were taken as slaves during the transatlantic slave trade has now decided to ban refugees from some of our countries,” Dlamini-Zuma said, according to The Independent.

Three African countries – Libya, Somalia, and Sudan ― are all members of the African Union.

“What do we do about this? Indeed, this is one of the greatest challenges to our unity and solidarity,” said Dlamini-Zuma.

While many countries on the first initial list of the ban are struggling to come to terms, Dlamini-Zuma will be stepping down and running for president of South Africa.
