If you own a Toyota, Ford or Honda please keep reading. Toyota is recalling another 543,000 vehicles in the U.S. for defective front passenger air bag inflators.

The airbags made by Japan’s Takata Corp are reporting that bags may explode in a crash, sending metal shrapnel flying at passengers. More than 42 million vehicles have been recalled in the US alone due to the Takata airbags.

Here is the list of specific vehicle models that have the recalled Takata airbags:

  • 2008-2009 Scion xB
  • 2009 and 2012 Corolla
  • Matrix, 2007-2009
  • 2012 Yaris
  • 2012 4Runner and Sienna

Toyota has also recalled various sedans and SUVs made between 2006-2012 including Lexus models made between 2006-2012.

This comes during the same week Ford expanded their recall to include an additional 800,000 Ford and Lincoln models. Adding Honda as well as the company has recalled 770,000. More than 10 million Hondas have been recalled for this issue.
