Have you ever left anything at the Airport across the country while traveling?

Maybe you left a Laptop, your briefcase, your coat, or something belonging to your young child.  Well, there are numbers to call.  TSA handles lost items at the Airports and they have offered numbers to call for each Airport in the Country.

The numbers for TSA’s lost and found offices in the Washington/Baltimore region are:

BWI International-Thurgood Marshall (BWI): 410-689-3620
Ronald Reagan Washington National (DCA): 703-603-2516
Washington Dulles International (IAD): 703-662-2234

So, what happens to things that aren’t claimed?

According to a TSA spokesperson – They get turned over to the state and then the state sells them as surplus items. The state keeps the profit; TSA makes no profit.”

One requirement is that they are required to keep the items for 30 days, but most times they actually keep them longer than 30 days.
