According to ABC News former NASA astronaut and Ohio Senator John Glenn has passed away at the age of 95 in his home state of Ohio after being treated at the James Cancer Hospital on the campus of The Ohio State University.  Glenn served as senator of the Ohio for four terms but made history as the first person to orbit Earth as an astronaut.  His first flight to space was in 1962.  In 2011 Glenn earned the Congressional Gold Medal and in 2016 Port Columbus Airport was renamed the John Glenn Columbus International Airport.
