Early voting in Ohio has reached record numbers this election cycle. With this being the last weekend for Columbus to cast their ballots before Election Day (November 8), Triedstone Baptist Church is pushing the community to go out and vote.

“We cannot sit and be idle,” Patricia Ross said.

At the rally on both Saturday and Sunday, people packed the pews and listened as pastors urged them to exercise their privilege.

“We’re entitled and benefited by a long fought for right and we need to take advantage of that,” Ross said.

The Board of Elections released numbers through Saturday, showing 74,951 early voters cast their ballot. The wait reached to an hour long with officials still accepting voters who stood in line even after doors closed at 5 p.m.
