It’s clear by now that presidential candidate Hilary Clinton has a popularity problem. With just a matter of days away from Election Day (November 8th) the Democratic Party is still trying to swing undecided voters to vote for Clinton. One predominant figure has stepped up to push the message is Oprah Winfrey.
The media mogul tells TD Jakes on an upcoming episode that this nation can choose between a democracy or a demagogue.
“There really is no choice, people,” said Winfrey. “I hear this all the time. You get in conversations, and there’s not a person in this room who hasn’t been in the same conversation, where people say, ‘I just don’t know if I like her.‘”
“She’s not coming over your house. You don’t have to like her. Do you like this country? Do you like democracy or do you want a demagogue?”
Winfrey is not new to election campaigns as she has been very vocal and supportive helping President Barack Obama get elected two times. However, this election is much different as she wasn’t sure how to “pierce through the chaos.”
“The reason why I haven’t been vocal, other than saying I’m with her, is because I didn’t know what to say that could actually pierce through all the noise and the chaos and the disgusting vitriol that’s going on and actually be heard,” she said.
