Here’s my love talk for today: You can’t force love. Whether in relationships or parenting, love isn’t about control or ticking boxes—it’s about patience, kindness, and flexibility. Too often, people treat their loved ones like projects, with expectations like, “If you love me, you’ll do this, this, and this.” While boundaries are important, love itself has to be flexible because life constantly changes. On the other hand, if you lead with fear and self-protection, insisting, “You better not hurt me,” you’ll likely block yourself from love altogether. Fear can prevent you from opening your heart to something amazing. God promises to protect us, so we don’t need to carry that burden ourselves. When we let go of fear and allow love to move naturally, we position ourselves to receive the blessings God has for us.

After 23 years of marriage, I’ve learned a lot about love. It’s not always easy, but when you approach it with patience, faith, and kindness, love can grow into something truly beautiful. That’s my love talk for today—don’t let fear keep you from experiencing God’s plan for your life.
