Creepy clowns are scaring children all over the country.
Recent sightings are being reported from Mansfield to Galion, Lancaster, Newark, Marion, and Geursney County. Police say there is no “known threat” but are telling people not to approach any clowns they come across.
A man in Lancaster posted this photo to General Sherman Junior High School’s Facebook page saying he found the clown trying to break into a car earlier this week. He says he snapped the photo from a home surveillance system.
The Lancaster Eagle Gazette reports police went by the school and didn’t find the clown.
Other witnesses say they say two clowns walking around, and one of them had a knife.
Police say anyone who is thinking of dressing up as a clown, and scaring people as a prank could face trespassing, inducing panic, menacing and disorderly conduct, among other charges.
